In 2013, we introduce you to Grant Gesture, an online fundraising platform that makes it possible to sponsor and monitor an individual student. With the knowledge they gain, they not only want to realize their own dreams, but also that of Papua.

Alje Drost (63) already supports Hapin for more than fifteen years. His parents were supporters from the start. Alje and his wife Margret continued the tradition. As a former teacher in secondary vocational education Alje is especially interested in education and scholarships. That's why he follows an initiative like GrantGesture with particular interest.
Good education is of the utmost importance to the development of Papua. To participate fully in civil society and to give direction to one’s future and that of Papua in general demands a variety of capacities and competences. This applies to participation of economic life, the ability to articulate individual rights and interests, and to exercise public, political and executive functions.
