The Papua Film Festival was held in Jayapura from August 7-9, 2018. Photo and film are an important source of modern media in Papua. It helps them express the love for their country and inhabitants. It is the land of their ancestors, extremely beautiful and with a rich variety of people and cultures. But there is also another reality. Modern media are used as a weapon in the fight against injustice, discrimination and violence. Young filmmakers are given a platform to highlight important current themes such as cultural identity, freedom, tradition, progress and fear, care and hope for the future. Hapin was one of the sponsors of this event, which attracted hundreds of visitors.
