This project proposal was send by a group of 6 young and enthusiastic Papuan journalists who make movies for social media such as YouTube and Facebook on a voluntary basis. The aim is to report worldwide about and from Papua. To show less from the usual and traditional view of the ‘exotic’ and ‘primitive’ Papuans and the media dominated by Jakarta, but to focus on current themes such as human rights, health, education and autonomy from the perspective of Papua. The 10-15 minute movies are viewed from all over the world. Dozens of young volunteers are also involved in the project. The money is needed for the purchase of cameras, lenses and mounting equipment.
