Last autumn, more than 20 people gathered in a wharf cellar in Utrecht for the first Education Day of The Young Papua Collective. The barriers of corona were defied by making the meeting public via a livestream on Facebook. Nico Jouwe kicked off the afternoon, by explaining the history of West Papua. The story ended with the provocative statement: dialogue or struggle? And what does such a dialogue or struggle look like? With that question Raki Ap and Oscar den Ouden then put those present to work. That started with self-reflection: what brings you here today? And how can you contribute to a better living situation for the Papuans? And of course, there was also room for socializing, getting to know new people and catching up with old acquaintances.
