Demianus Nawipa grew up without parents in the Paniai region of Papua. His relatives took care of him at the time and his nephew supports him financially.
Demianus is a smart young man who gives homework lessons to his classmates and in return they pay for his meals. Demian decided to study Geology because he would like to know more about the natural history, processes and morphology of the earth. As a Geology student, Demianus is interested in the natural resources of Papua: copper, silver, gas and oil. After his studies, he wants to teach at Manokwari University and teach Papua students how best to use their precious raw materials.
