Cindy Karlina Warwe (20) studied Environmental Health at Cenderawasih university in Jayapura. She got to know about Hapin’s scholarship program via a newsletter that was send to all universities in Papua. The extra support of Hapin allowed her to finish her education. Cindy is living with her mom and sisters in Jayapura. Her eldest sister is breadwinner for the family after her father passed away three years ago.
Cindy would like to use her knowledge to help humans and the environment in Papua in order for the two to live in harmony again. Subjects she is interested in are water supply, air pollution, raw material consumption and natural disasters. “The interest in Environmental Health also stems from a strong social commitment.”
